Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 July 2026

Sambhaal Strong is a fitness and wellness program for people 50 and over. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose.

1. Who this applies to

This policy covers our members (the people who train with us) and anyone who gifts or pays for a membership on someone's behalf. Where we describe "you," we mean whichever of you is interacting with us.

2. Information we collect

We never ask for OTPs, banking passwords, or card PINs — and no one from Sambhaal will ever handle your cash.

3. How we use your information

4. Gifted memberships — what the payer sees

If a family member abroad pays for your membership, they receive your monthly progress update, scorecard, and progress videos. By accepting a gifted membership you consent to this sharing. Your health questionnaire and anything you tell your coach in confidence are not shared with the payer beyond what's needed for safety.

5. Batches are shared spaces

You train in a group. Your batchmates will naturally see you train; scorecards are private and shared only by you. Please respect fellow members' privacy — what happens over chai stays over chai.

6. Who we share information with

We do not sell your information. We share it only as needed to run the service, with providers who act on our instructions:

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of a person (for example, contacting your emergency contact or a doctor in a genuine emergency).

7. WhatsApp

We communicate with you through WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta. Your use of WhatsApp is also governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy and terms. Messages on WhatsApp are encrypted in transit by WhatsApp; once a message reaches our business account, it is handled under this policy.

8. How long we keep information

We keep your information for as long as you use Sambhaal and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting, and safety obligations. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see "Your choices and rights").

9. How we protect information

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No service can promise perfect security, but we work to keep your data safe and limit who can access it.

10. International transfers

Sambhaal serves families across borders, so your information may be processed in India and in other countries where we or our providers operate. Where we transfer information internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected.

11. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your information, to object to or limit certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time. You can pause or end your membership and ask us to delete your records at any time.

12. Children

Sambhaal is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, let you know on WhatsApp.
